How would someone go about making their AirBNB listing more attractive?
This bright-patterned pillow MUST do the trick! … Nah. Most people think bright colors and bold patterns attract buyers/renters so they go out and spend a lot of money on those items that, typically get tossed to the floor when the space is being used. I suggest keeping it neutral, and functional. (Unless you have ravers coming to stay, but do you like ravers coming to stay?)
When I take on projects I ask clients to take a photo from all four corners of the room. So to begin your process, take photos. You’ll probably notice what needs to be de-cluttered.
Next, utilize large pieces of functional décor:
- Dining: Place a large bowl on the table or counter: guests can use this to collect small things during their stay so everything’s not scattered about.
- Bedroom: Place two large euro shams (24”x24”) on the bed. It makes the space feel more luxurious.
Other Tips for Bringing More Style to Your AirBNB Listing:
- Living Room: Center décor pillows on sofa, stay out of the corners. Place two large and small oddball spheres/objects of some sort on a the coffee table. …works every time! 🙂
- Bath: ‘Try’ to use only one color of towel. Showing that you have towels is good, but multiple colors makes the photo feel choppy. Have Fun!
